Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care team at South Peninsula Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients on the Acute Care unit, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to other care team providers as needed, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive evidence-based care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure that patient needs are met and that care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote safe and effective patient care.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the State of Alaska.
- Experience in Acute Care nursing, preferably in a critical access hospital setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift patients and equipment as needed, with the use of mechanical lifts available when necessary.
