We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager/Associate Director of Business Development to join our team. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the non-profit sector, specifically targeting academic and research institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the non-profit sector
  • Foster partnerships and drive revenue growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Leverage technical expertise in preclinical research to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for business development
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field
  • Proven experience in preclinical research, with a focus on immuno-oncology, oncology, degenerative disorders, or related areas
  • Previous experience with genetically engineered mouse models is highly preferred
  • Previous experience or exposure to a commercial/business development role in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry
  • Experience selling into non-profit organizations (research & academic institutions)
  • Strong network within the research & academic sectors
  • Rolodex of clients in the Southern (Texas) territory
