About the Role: The Gerontological Society of America Careers is seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Strategic Alliance Development Manager in our Washington, D.C. office.

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing strategic alliances with key organizations to advance the mission of the Gerontological Society of America.

  • Developing Strategic Alliances: Identify and pursue opportunities to collaborate with other organizations, develop proposals, and negotiate agreements to drive growth and revenue.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level representatives from partner organizations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects and programs that align with the Society's strategic goals.
  • Content Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create engaging content and marketing materials that support alliance development and business growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience in an association environment, with a proven track record of building and maintaining strategic relationships.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, including budget/financial management; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
