Job Overview

On-Site Staffing Services is seeking motivated individuals with culinary expertise to fill the role of Culinary Support Specialist within our Dining & Culinary Services division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Culinary Support Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing meals and executing related tasks in accordance with health and safety standards to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

  • 20% Engage in routine food preparation tasks, including portioning, chopping, and serving meals to patrons.
  • 10% Provide assistance and mentorship to student workers.
  • 10% Prepare a variety of simple dishes, such as sandwiches and salads, while also aiding in the creation of more intricate meals.
  • 20% Welcome customers, respond to inquiries, and offer essential information regarding food preparation and related activities.
  • 10% Maintain cleanliness and inspect kitchen equipment and work areas.
  • 15% Comply with federal, state, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • 15% Organize and execute the setup and cleanup of preparation, production, service areas, catering events, and equipment.

Compensation: $18.00/hr.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in food production is preferred.
  • SERV Safe Certification is a plus.
  • All employees must adhere to health and safety protocols to mitigate COVID-19 risks. Vaccination is not mandatory.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening is required.

SCHEDULE:

Work hours may vary by location, with the following shifts available:

  • Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 11:00 am to 7:30 pm
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday 11:00 am to 7:30 pm

The typical schedule for this position consists of five 8-hour shifts per week, which may include weekends. Work schedules will be adjusted based on operational needs and customer requirements, particularly during peak seasons.
