Job Summary

The Warehouse Delivery Associate role at Baker Distributing involves daily transportation and delivery of HVAC goods and materials from our established wholesale distributorships to customers, vendors, or other Sales Center locations. This position also includes maintaining and operating the warehouse in between deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Delivery: Load and unload products in a truck for delivery to customers and/or other Sales Centers.
  • Warehouse Operations: Assist in the Warehouse with inventory counts, picking, and verifying orders.
  • Administrative Tasks: Collect invoices with proper signatures and return to Sales Center Manager.
  • Truck Maintenance: Perform daily checklist of truck maintenance and report in/out times with merchandise returns.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-year truck driving experience.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, excellent customer service mindset, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license and CDL license (highly desirable).
Work Environment

The Warehouse Delivery Associate will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, and utilizing heavy machinery. The employee must be able to stand, sit, or walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
