Job Title: Outpatient Surgery Coder

Job Summary:
Baptist Health is seeking a skilled Outpatient Surgery Coder to contribute to our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of outpatient coding and classification. Your expertise will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our health information systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Function in a fully accountable role with respect to ensuring the overall quality of outpatient coding and classification.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and complete coding and classification of patient data.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of coding and classification systems, including ICD and CPT codes.
• Analyze and resolve coding and classification discrepancies to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Requirements:
• Graduate of an Accredited RHIA or RHIT Program with an associate or bachelor's degree; or
• In lieu of graduation from an accredited program and degree, possess an AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist credential with 2 years of outpatient coding experience.

Certifications/Licenses:
• Minimum of ONE or more of the following, required

• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)

• Diagnostic Coding, ICD Coding, Outpatient Coding, Procedural Coding
