Retail Merchandising Manager

The Merchandising Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in formulating merchandising strategies that enhance profitability and elevate customer experience. This position encompasses the planning and coordination of initiatives for launching new locations, renovating existing branches, designing product displays, and assessing signage requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with the Marketing Director to establish project timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely project delivery while proactively addressing any challenges.
- Foster and maintain relationships across departments and with vendors, collaborating closely with stakeholders and agencies to guarantee seamless execution of projects and events.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support organizational goals.
New Location / Renovation Duties:
- Collaborate with the project team to develop merchandising plans and layout designs based on inventory.
- Provide guidance and support for each stage of product placement and coordinate personnel assistance as required.
- Oversee the planning, design, and installation of both interior and exterior signage and promotional materials.
Merchandising Duties:
- Allocate sufficient time for both branded and proprietary products.
- Conduct annual visits to all core locations.
- Evaluate and suggest enhancements for merchandising practices, optimizing inventory and maintaining organized displays in collaboration with Sales and Purchasing teams.
- Assist with the replenishment of marketing materials as necessary.
- Review and update signage as required.
- Propose and communicate strategies for shelving arrangements, promotional displays, and seasonal product placements.
- Partner with sales and purchasing teams to plan vendor display opportunities, including setup and organization of product displays.
- Support inventory management and replenishment efforts.
- Provide on-site assistance as needed.
- Train staff on:
- Best practices in merchandising.
- Maintaining product displays for both branded and proprietary lines.
- Effective selling techniques to enhance average order values, particularly for new product launches.
- Collaborate with Sales, Vendors, and Representatives to facilitate promotional events and sales initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in project management or event coordination.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in field merchandising.
- At least 1 year of experience in retail or wholesale sales.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to ensure project completion.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time within designated regions.

Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
