Child and Family Support Specialist

Role Responsibilities:
The Family Support Partner plays a vital role in offering unwavering support to children and families. Our Children's Services Department is dedicated to continuously enhancing programs to address the evolving needs of families within the community.
If you are a parent or caregiver who has successfully navigated the Behavioral Health system, this position is an excellent opportunity to assist other families. As a Family Support Partner, you will work collaboratively with Child and Family teams, advocating for families, providing resources, and exploring natural support systems. You will engage with families, the Department of Child Safety, courts, and other stakeholders to ensure that the voices of families are prioritized. This role allows you to build meaningful relationships with children and families in supportive, community-oriented environments. It is essential that the Family Support Partner delivers high-quality services and maintains accurate client records in compliance with relevant standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of four years of experience in behavioral health with children and adolescents is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Child and Family Team process and a strong advocacy background are essential.
- This position is intended for individuals who are parents, foster parents, adoptive parents, or caregivers of children currently receiving or who have received behavioral health services.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse ethnic and cultural groups is required.
- Must possess a Fingerprint clearance card or be eligible to obtain one.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Access to reliable transportation is essential.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Additional Expectations:
- Ability to remain composed in crisis situations and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Maintain professional conduct in line with ethical standards and agency policies.
- Foster positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and community partners.
- If driving is required, a valid Arizona driver's license and appropriate insurance coverage are necessary.
