Internship Overview

Stryker Finance and Accounting interns will get to:

  • Apply classroom knowledge in a fast-paced and growing industry setting

  • Network with key/high-level stakeholders and leaders of the business

  • Learn about Stryker's Finance and Accounting Rotational Program (FAR) opportunity post-graduation
Responsibilities

Finance/Accounting interns will:

  • Create and analyze specific accounting statements and reports to assist in the preparation of financial statements
  • Provide support to teams to develop new and improve existing finance and accounting processes
  • Create ad-hoc templates to utilize various ERP systems better
  • Leverage Excel and systems skills to automate and optimize reporting
  • Coordinate with other departments to set projections/budgets
  • Communicate variances v. financial targets to management and other departments
  • Reconcile balance sheets accounts as assigned by management
  • Participate in monthly closing processes and reporting
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of annual budgets
  • Collaborate with other Finance interns across the country in a case study project
Requirements

To be considered for this internship, you must:

  • Currently be working on completion of Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
  • Plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer
  • Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or above on a 4.0 scale
  • Be eligible to work on a permanent basis in the United States
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Be able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Have versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
  • Have the ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Be proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Have proven leadership and business acumen skills
  • Have proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Have strong interpersonal skills
