Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Vice President of Global Medical Manufacturing. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing the manufacturing strategy for our Medical Division, aligned with our Global Quality Operations (GQO) strategy.
Key Responsibilities
This position entails:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a robust manufacturing strategy.
- Ensuring the Instruments Manufacturing Network achieves exceptional product quality and adheres to global regulatory standards.
- Driving product availability to enhance customer service and spearheading cost reduction initiatives.
- Launching new products effectively and efficiently.
- Implementing the Stryker Production System across the manufacturing network, utilizing best practices established by the Manufacturing Excellence team.
- Engaging with GQO functions to support our commercial partners in achieving growth and profitability.
Collaboration and Leadership
As a leader, you will:
- Work closely with manufacturing site leaders across various locations.
- Partner with the Medical Division Operations Leader and GQO Leadership Team to align on divisional manufacturing strategies.
- Drive the execution of standardized processes developed by the Manufacturing Excellence organization.
- Communicate effectively with the division to ensure strategic objectives are met.
- Identify potential risks related to safety, quality, and supply, and formulate mitigation plans.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing and supply chain management.
- Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience is essential.
- A strong understanding of FDA Quality System Requirements and global Medical Device Quality Standards.
- Expertise in LEAN manufacturing and quality management.
- Proven ability to foster engagement and build high-performing teams.
