About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production process and logistics coordination for events and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct onsite supervision for load-in, set-up, technical work, event, strike, and restore of Shed facilities
  • Monitor all production elements, including staging, lighting, rigging, video and audio installations, scheduling of all labor crews, and execution of detailed logistics plans
  • Work with clients and outside production teams to maintain and distribute the daily schedule
  • Ensure Shed facility and equipment is well cared for during the run of the event
  • Coordinate and track all labor hours (with IATSE Local 1 and Theatrical Teamsters)
  • Communicate and secure client approval for additional labor costs during the run of the event
  • Work with Venue Sales team to communicate the scope of each event to the greater Shed community
  • Create daily reports to keep Production and Venue Sales departments informed on the status of each assigned project
  • Submit payroll for all hourly employees
  • Upon completion of event work, in concert with the Venue Sales team and Finance Department, close out the event and ensure proper billing is processed
  • Interact with Facilities, Security, and other Operations staff to coordinate all venue activity as it pertains to the assigned project
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Qualities:
  • Three or more years of experience in a supervisor or management position in event production
  • Demonstrated broad and deep knowledge of theatrical production and entertainment technology, including lighting, sound reinforcement, video playback and projection / LED screens, cameras and broadcast equipment, rigging, and staging
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Significant experience with collective bargaining agreements, including IATSE Local 1 and Theatrical Teamsters
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as is common in the industry
  • Must be proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with Vectorworks for working with client drawings a plus
  • Must be able to be mobile for extended periods of time
Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule:

This is a temporary, full-time position. At times, this position will require you to be available for more than the 40-hour workweek, including some nights and weekends.
