Job Title: Stroke Coordinator Registered Nurse

At Southern Regional Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Stroke Coordinator Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Stroke Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the coordination of all services and systems required for the care of STEMI or stroke patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all services and systems required for the care of STEMI or stroke patients.
  • Report directly to the Director of Performance Improvement.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide quality STEMI and stroke care.
  • Develop and facilitate program protocols.
  • Provide education and training to staff.
  • Collect and report data.
  • Analyze data for improvements.
  • Provide community outreach.
Qualifications:
  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Education requirements obtained and maintained as outlined by the Joint Commission as a requirement for the coordinator for both programs.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute care hospital environment.
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills essential.
  • Team approach to patient care.
  • Computer experience in Windows applications (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong working knowledge in data management, data analysis and quality improvement processes are preferred.
