Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Process Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to our customers by performing tasks related to patient care and third-party reimbursement. Your primary responsibility will be to process new orders, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process new orders, including collecting patient and referral source information, inputting data into our system, and printing tickets.
  • Manage all aspects of initial intake, including answering phone calls, receiving faxes, and assembling charts.
  • Obtain authorization and qualification documentation from patients and referral sources.
  • Prepare complete and accurate files for our Billing Department.
  • Provide education to referral sources, patients, and employees on qualifications for service and third-party billing.
  • Process work orders to field locations and coordinate timely fulfillment of products and services ordered.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
  • Experience in the medical field and administrative record management, preferred.
  • Experience with medical billing practices and reimbursement, preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies and requirements, preferred.
  • Medical terminology, preferred.
  • One year of related work experience, preferred.
  • Strong customer service background, preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Able to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of communications, including verbal, non-verbal, written, and visual.
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and caution when handling sensitive information.
  • Multi-tasking and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills.
  • Sense of urgency and responsiveness to physicians, location employees, and patients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
