Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Process Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to our customers by performing tasks related to patient care and third-party reimbursement. Your primary responsibility will be to process new orders, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Process new orders, including collecting patient and referral source information, inputting data into our system, and printing tickets.
- Manage all aspects of initial intake, including answering phone calls, receiving faxes, and assembling charts.
- Obtain authorization and qualification documentation from patients and referral sources.
- Prepare complete and accurate files for our Billing Department.
- Provide education to referral sources, patients, and employees on qualifications for service and third-party billing.
- Process work orders to field locations and coordinate timely fulfillment of products and services ordered.
- Provide technical assistance to customers as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
- Experience in the medical field and administrative record management, preferred.
- Experience with medical billing practices and reimbursement, preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance policies and requirements, preferred.
- Medical terminology, preferred.
- One year of related work experience, preferred.
- Strong customer service background, preferred.
- Able to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to interpret a variety of communications, including verbal, non-verbal, written, and visual.
- Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and caution when handling sensitive information.
- Multi-tasking and attention to detail.
- Self-motivation, organized, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills.
- Sense of urgency and responsiveness to physicians, location employees, and patients.
