Job Overview

Position Title: Desktop / IT Support Analyst

Contract Duration: 10 months (potential for extension)

Work Location: South Georgia Area

On-Site Requirement: Must work on-site within designated coverage area

Certification Requirement: A+ Certification or Network+ Certification is mandatory

Role Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Imaging, deploying, and providing technical assistance for laptops, desktops, and peripherals to both in-house and remote clients.
  • Configuring and supporting desktop applications while ensuring compliance with IT policies.
  • Conducting data backup and restoration, along with hardware maintenance.
  • Delivering on-site desktop support for users within assigned locations.
  • Troubleshooting workstation and peripheral issues, diagnosing and resolving problems both remotely and in person.
  • Ensuring end-user applications and equipment function correctly and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Installing and supporting network devices that provide critical business services.
  • Managing end-user data backup and recovery with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Processing surplus equipment according to established protocols, including proper sanitization of electronic devices up to DoD standards.
  • Opening, documenting, and tracking problem tickets, escalating to appropriate teams as necessary.
  • Coordinating with vendor support to resolve technical issues related to desktop hardware and software.
  • Assisting with special projects, including the setup, breakdown, and relocation of computer equipment and peripherals.
Required Qualifications:
  • Vocational/Technical degree in computer applications, technology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues in both LAN and WAN environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience in imaging and deploying laptops.
  • 2 years of experience providing hardware support for desktop and laptop computers.
  • 2 years of experience supporting Microsoft Outlook email client.
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office 2013 or higher.
  • 2 years of experience assisting remote workers and troubleshooting VPN and remote technology issues.
  • 2 years of experience with Bitlocker encryption, antivirus, and malware/spyware removal software (highly desired).
  • A+ Certification or Network+ Certification (mandatory)
  • 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing local and network printers.
  • 2 years of technical support experience in a Windows 10 PC environment (highly desired).
  • 2 years of experience supporting Cisco VoIP phones and Jabber client (highly desired).
  • 2 years of experience setting up and installing computers for new hire onboarding and offboarding.
  • 2 years of experience in an Active Directory Domain environment.
