Job Summary

The Support Specialist provides critical services to children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbances in home and community-based settings. This role is responsible for clinically stabilizing living arrangements, promoting reunification, and preventing out-of-home placement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver crisis intervention and 24/7 crisis response services
  • Provide intensive supporting resources management, individual and/or family skills training, and other rehabilitative supports
  • Implement services in accordance with the identified youth's behavioral health needs and strengths, as well as the goals identified in the Individualized Resiliency Plan
  • Accurately document services, attend weekly individual and group supervision meetings, and communicate participant progress to supervisors, team members, and the referring authority
  • Ensure all services are delivered in compliance with the Georgia DBHDD Provider Manual, YAP Standards, and all state and federal regulations governing the delivery of service
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a human services field (Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology) required
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance coverage required
