Job Title: Front Desk Agent

Job Summary:

The Front Desk Agent at MCR Hotels is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while managing the administrative processes of our hotels. As a key member of our team, you will provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests, ensuring a positive stay and maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional guest service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard and ensure seamless communication with guests and hotel staff.
  • Be knowledgeable about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation, and provide accurate information to guests.
  • Establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments within the hotel.
  • Document all guest requests, complaints, or problems immediately and notify designated departments for resolving the situation.
  • Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions, and be able to convey this information to guests.
  • Log and deliver packages, mail, and messages, and maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
  • Share knowledge of the property and amenities, as well as special events and local area attractions.
  • Accurately complete the check-in and checkout process, and use creative reasoning and brand standard service tools to overcome guest objections and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
  • Demonstrate the ability to problem-solve and effectively deal with internal and external customers.
  • Must have basic English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to obtain alcohol awareness certification as required by the State.
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, Company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
