POSITION: MECHANIC
1ST SHIFT

COMPENSATION:
$20.00-$25.00 TO START. [Potential for raises based on performance]

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Accountable for the repair and upkeep of all machinery and vehicles including Tow Motors, Forklifts, Bobcats, Dozers, and Company Trucks.

Diagnoses, overhauls, and services vehicles and machinery.
Conducts inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Collaborates with staff from other departments regarding maintenance repairs and scheduling.
Ensures that all tools and equipment used for servicing and repairs comply with OSHA regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Mechanic certification is preferred.
Must hold a valid driver's license and have the capability to safely operate a motor vehicle. A Class "A" or "B" CDL is advantageous.
Must possess 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic; experience with diesel engines is a plus.
Basic skills in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, particularly as they relate to pumps, valves, and fluid dynamics.

Physical capability to work in various positions, some of which may be uncomfortable and demanding, to perform repairs in all weather conditions.

Awareness of occupational hazards and necessary safety measures.
