Position Overview:As a Mechanical Construction Assistant, you will assist our experienced sheet metal workers and pipefitters on various commercial and industrial projects. You will gain hands-on experience, learn the trade from skilled professionals, and be an integral part of our team as we deliver high-quality mechanical services.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, sheet metal ductwork, or piping systems.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials such as sheet metal or pipe, as directed.
- Support in the preparation and cleanup of job sites.
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Work alongside experienced technicians to learn industry best practices and techniques.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Previous experience in construction, HVAC, sheet metal, or pipefitting is a plus but not required.
