Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Omni Hotels & Resorts. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel environment that reflects an image of outstanding quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily readings and maintain all electrical equipment in the building, including transformers, panels, switchgear, generator, and motor starters.
  • Conduct weekly testing of the Emergency Generator and provide technical assistance to other technicians as necessary.
  • Work on other equipment as needed and maintain inventory and orders electrical supplies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies, as well as Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
  • Be responsible for all ballroom and exhibit hall electrical set ups and have knowledge of hotels electrical distribution and available power for set ups.
  • Have a thorough understanding of HAZCOM, Lockout/Tagout, and Blood borne Pathogen Programs, as well as NEC, local, and city codes.
  • Hold required license as required and make reasonable requests of management as directed.
  • Ensure work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris, or any objects that can obstruct the job duties from being performed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be willing to work a variety of day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exposure to various hazardous chemicals and high and low voltage electricity.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in written form, in English.
