Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist II PRN to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Technologist II PRN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services, while also providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room for procedures, including setting up equipment and ensuring that all necessary supplies are available.
  • Count and verify all sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating RN on all surgical procedures.
  • Participate in safety initiatives to ensure correct patient identification and verification of the procedure to be performed within the OR.
  • Work collaboratively with the Housekeeping and Central Processing staff to clean the Operating Rooms and equipment between patients, following facility policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients and their families, including answering questions and addressing concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA)
  • 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols
