About the Role

Fifth Third Bank, N.A. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance and Accounting Leadership Program as an Accounting Intern. This 10-week internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance, while developing skills and knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Provide analysis for the monthly forecasting process and support the annual budgeting process
  • Perform financial variance analysis to identify trends in the business
  • Complete special projects at the direction of the Assignment Leader
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a business concentration (accounting, economics, finance majors preferred)
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Basic Excel proficiency (data entry, formatting, charts, basic formulas, Vlookup)
  • Campus involvement/leadership experience
  • Relevant internship/co-op experience
  • Ability to complete both guided and self-directed learning activities
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate financial information
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future
