Community Crisis Stabilization Unit Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Worker to join our Community Crisis Stabilization Unit in Quincy. As a member of our professional team, you will provide specialized care to consumers in a 24-hour crisis stabilization setting.

Unit Overview

The Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) Unit is an integral part of our Emergency Services team, offering a staff-secure, safe, and structured crisis stabilization and treatment services in a community-based program. This program serves as a medically necessary, less restrictive, and voluntary alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.

The unit provides individuals access to our newly renovated 8 on-site beds during times of crisis, with a length of stay generally ranging from three to five days but is flexible to meet individual needs.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate individual treatment planning
  • Participate in recreational, therapeutic, and coping activities
  • Encourage consumer health through proper diet and activities of daily living
  • Maintain a secure, safe setting
Requirements
  • Ability to work with individuals needing intensive support and supervision
  • Ability to remain calm and use good judgment in crisis situations
  • Good communications skills
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
  • Access to a personal vehicle for outreach and client
