About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team at our 68-bed facility in downtown Buffalo. As a Residential Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist medical providers with medication management and integration appointments
  • Complete medical assessments and provide education to patients on preventative health and wellness skills
  • Provide health education on comorbid conditions and smoking cessation
  • Perform touchless searches, conduct supervised toxicologies, and participate in room searches
  • Other duties as defined by the RN Manager

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse License and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. You should also have experience working in a residential treatment setting and be comfortable working with patients who have addiction and mental health issues.

Location and Schedule

This part-time position is located at our 68-bed facility in downtown Buffalo. The schedule is alternating, with one week working Saturday and Sunday from 10:30pm-9:00am and the next week working Monday and Tuesday from 10:30pm-9:00am. You will earn an additional 25% shift differential for your work hours that fall between the hours of 7 PM-7 AM.

Compensation and Benefits

Horizon Services is committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits packages to our employees. The range of pay for this position is $37.80-$42.00, with starting pay impacted based on experience and education. You will also be eligible for our Registered Nurse Recruitment Bonus Program, which offers a total bonus of $750 for full-time hires, $750 for part-time hires, and $375 for per diem hires.

Physical Demands

This position requires stationary posture with frequent standing/sitting alternation, mobility between nearby worksites and within facilities, mobility required involving repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements, and lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
