About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Stock-Based and Executive Compensation to join our team at Expedia Group. As a key member of our compensation team, you will play a lead role in executing our compensation strategy and collaborating with the team responsible for our global compensation programs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Compensation Plans: Design and implement stock-based compensation and executive compensation plans that align with our company goals and comply with all relevant requirements.
  2. Support Compensation Committee: Assist in developing materials for meetings of the Compensation Committee and provide consulting support to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and other internal stakeholders.
  3. Provide Consulting Support: Offer consulting support on stock-based and executive compensation, including the development of executive offers, and prepare and review compensation information for our Proxy Statement and other SEC filings.
  4. Analyze Data and Present Insights: Analyze data, model scenarios, and present insights to senior leadership on compensation programs and trends.
  5. Develop Educational Programs: Develop and deliver educational programs and materials to improve employee understanding of stock-based and executive compensation.
  6. Benchmark Executive Roles: Benchmark executive level roles and propose programmatic changes to ensure our compensation programs remain competitive.
  7. Assist with Equity Grant Authorization: Assist with the monthly equity grant authorization and work with internal stakeholders, including Stock Administration, Accounting, Payroll, and Legal.
  8. Stay Informed of Best Practices: Stay informed of best practices related to compensation programs/philosophy as well as SEC, tax, and accounting regulations.
Requirements
  1. Financial Modeling Skills: Possess financial modeling skills and a deep understanding of equity compensation design, accounting standards, taxation, and market best practices.
  2. Education and Experience: Hold a Master's degree in a related field or equivalent related professional experience.
  3. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills with the ability to cut through complexity and turn high-level business requirements and opportunities into specific initiatives.
  4. Communication and Partnership Skills: Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in a simple way and establish working relationships with stakeholders.
  5. Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: Have a high attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Leadership and Collaboration Skills: Demonstrate leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to build strong relationships and become a trusted advisor.
  7. Action-Oriented and Bias to Action: Possess a bias to action with the ability to get things done in a collaborative, lean, and fast-paced environment.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive total cash range for this position in Seattle, with the potential to increase pay up to $313,500.00 based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and individual knowledge, skills, and experience.
