Job Overview

Position Title: Senior Assurance Associate

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Employment Type: Full Time/Exempt

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and client representatives.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s audit methodologies and tools.
  • Enhance accounting expertise to effectively navigate the audit process.
  • Prepare audit documentation that is organized, clear, and accurately referenced.
  • Conduct analytical reviews of audit materials.
  • Engage in discussions to gather insights and clarify issues for a thorough understanding.
  • Evaluate client accounting practices and internal control systems.
  • Execute tests of internal controls and substantive audit procedures.
  • Utilize risk management principles in audit processes.
  • Support the team in identifying accounting and audit challenges.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Apply technical standards with appropriate supervision.
  • Identify financial statement issues through basic analysis and communicate findings to the team.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior staff and interns.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with aspirations to fulfill CPA educational requirements.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in public accounting.
  • Familiarity with US Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
  • Proficient in advanced Excel and analytical techniques.
  • Exhibit professionalism, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively with professionals at various levels.
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
