Key Responsibilities
  • Perform moderately complex clerical work, including customer service and data entry tasks.
  • Process inquiries and requests for information, and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Enter and maintain data in office records, and retrieve information to respond to customer inquiries.
  • Assist the public in person or by phone, convey messages, and distribute mail.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including filing, indexing, and recording, making copies, sorting, stuffing, and mailing documents.
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • General office experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and accept documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to fill out reports, answer routine correspondence, and speak effectively to the public.
  • Ability to operate a computer, typewriter, and other basic office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) with the ability to converse fluently in both languages.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
