Facilities Coordinator

The Facilities and Operations Coordinator in Residential Life plays a crucial role in maintaining the physical and environmental conditions of our residential facilities, encompassing 46 residence hall buildings and 1.9 million square feet of living space on campus.
This position is responsible for managing facility conditions in residence halls, conducting regular visual inspections, and initiating or following up on service orders for facility repairs and maintenance. Effective communication with students regarding ongoing repairs and issues is essential, as is managing the central key control system, tracking lock changes and lockouts for billing, and adjudicating student damage charges.
The successful candidate will also recruit, train, and supervise student personnel to provide support in operations areas, requiring excellent customer service skills, particularly in defusing tense situations. A strong ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with students, parents, student organizations, and staff is vital.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma, with an associate's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three to five years of related experience in facilities or operations management, office management, or similar operations capacity is required.
The Facilities and Operations Coordinator must be able to walk and stand for extended periods, climb stairs throughout the duration of the shift, work under adverse temperatures and/or weather conditions, and lift and carry 50 pounds. A valid driver's license is also required.
