Regional Sales Manager Job Description

Midland Industries Inc is seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales team in the Midwest territory. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve sales targets and growth
  • Lead and motivate the regional sales team to achieve sales targets and growth
  • Meet with potential customers to discuss their evolving needs and establish quality relationships
  • Recommend service and product enhancements to improve sales potential and customer satisfaction
  • Determine the company's gross-profit and annual unit plans by analyzing trends and results and implementing marketing strategies
  • Develop field sales action plans to facilitate the implementation of regional sales programs
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies, and establishing personal networks
  • Closes sales in a timely manner
  • Establishes and maintains trust with customers and employees
  • Build and maintains positive customer relationships
  • Tracks quotes weekly
  • Adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
  • Updates and maintains customer files and contact lists
  • Remains current on consumer preferences by attending department meetings and product training sessions
Requirements:
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities
  • Communicates professionally while understanding and addressing customer inquiries and team needs
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • A Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Business, Management, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in a sales management role, preferably as a Regional Sales Manager
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience preferably in the plumbing/PVF wholesale markets
