Gravis Law, PLLC is on the lookout for an Experienced Family Law Paralegal to enhance our team. Our firm is dedicated to providing straightforward access to exceptional legal services, supporting individuals and communities nationwide.

As an Experienced Family Law Paralegal, you will engage in a range of paralegal and administrative responsibilities within our collaborative and supportive environment. Your role will involve assisting attorneys with case planning, development, and management, conducting legal research, maintaining client communication, drafting and filing legal documents, and providing insightful recommendations to attorneys. The ideal candidate possesses a strong passion for family law and is committed to fostering a positive workplace atmosphere. As a senior member of the paralegal team, you will be expected to handle complex tasks with a high degree of competence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform legal tasks with a greater level of autonomy compared to other legal assistants.
  • Oversee attorney schedules to ensure timely compliance with all deadlines.
  • Review case files and collaborate with attorneys to assess file status and upcoming deadlines.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for client consultations, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Draft various legal documents including letters, briefs, and memorandums.
  • Manage the filing and electronic submission of legal documents.
  • Organize and maintain both electronic and physical client files.
  • Engage in regular communication with clients.
  • Conduct legal research and assist in drafting legal materials.
  • Deliver high-quality legal products and exceptional service to clients.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and workflow improvements.
  • Provide leadership in coordinating the work and training of office staff.
  • Occasionally cover front desk duties to ensure professional service to clients and visitors.
  • Maintain a respected reputation among clients, opposing counsel, judges, court staff, and colleagues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • Paralegal certification.
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.

Equivalent combinations of experience and training may be considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Professional demeanor with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is based in a standard office setting. Employees are expected to maintain regular attendance and may occasionally be required to work outside standard hours.
