Position Overview:

The individual in this position will assist in various initiatives aimed at guiding the product portfolio for a designated Line of Business throughout its lifecycle. This role involves close collaboration with Marketing & Innovation leaders in the US & CA, as well as Commercial and cross-functional technical teams, ensuring alignment across the end-to-end supply chain. This position serves as a key collaborator within the Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary liaison representing Supply Chain perspectives to Business Unit leadership and establish key relationships with NPD/NPI, PM, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
  • Facilitate the EBP Step 1 process for the specific Business Unit in North America.
  • Play a crucial role in driving growth within the Business Unit by supporting the successful execution of New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Conduct analysis and reporting to inform decisions throughout the NPD Stage & Gate process, from Manufacturing Strategy Review to Concept phase and implementation through to launch.
  • Identify and elevate key Supply Chain impacts, especially when risks are identified, to ensure comprehensive end-to-end supply chain awareness. Focus areas include:
    • Achieving a Finished Goods SLOB reduction target of 10% for the year.
    • Managing portfolio recommendations for all new product introductions and transitions to minimize SLOB creation.
    • Overseeing discontinuation management and deletions to address customer reclamations.
    • Mitigating non-working trade costs through improved planning.
    • Leading initiatives or projects aimed at optimizing the product portfolio across various lifecycle stages.
  • Manage all projects within the Business Unit, including innovations, non-core innovations, and operational cost-saving initiatives, ensuring effective execution by cross-functional project teams with defined timelines, scopes, costs, and resources.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure project success, elevating these plans to the commercial team for alignment.
  • Engage effectively with diverse stakeholders both within and outside the team, including EPC colleagues.
  • Serve as the Supply Chain representative in any product changes throughout the end-to-end 'Go to Market' process.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Demonstrated success in Project Management, with a solid understanding of the development process and potential Supply Chain commercialization risks and impacts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge to facilitate risk assessment and mitigation planning for New Product Introductions, ensuring timely execution.
  • Understanding of how Supply Chain dynamics impact the P&L for the Business Unit.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities with a robust capacity for data analysis and insights generation to identify business improvement opportunities through CIP projects or portfolio management.
  • Proficient in inventory management principles and techniques, contributing to monthly SLOB discussions and portfolio management strategies.
  • Experience with Power BI reporting or dashboard modeling using various data sources is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (Engineering, Chemistry, Finance), Business Management, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Project Management, Product Lifecycle Management, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and knowledgeable in Power BI, with a working understanding of SAP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in process improvement and mapping initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle and Portfolio Management.
  • Goal-oriented with strong data reporting, collaboration, and communication skills.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based role with potential for consideration of other locations.
  • Travel may be required, estimated at 10-20%.

The salary range for this position is $92,000 - $125,000. Actual base salary offered may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, internal peer salaries, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The competitive compensation package may also include participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
