Overview
The Product Commercialization Coordinator will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, focusing on managing and executing the commercialization process throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle as guided by the product management team. The primary objective is to ensure that products are ready for production and marketable to customers within the timelines established by product management.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will play a vital role in the development of Bills of Material, managing Engineering Change Requests, and handling Sales Action Requests to ensure efficient workflow.
- Utilizes comprehensive product knowledge to interpret, determine, and/or create material requirements, including material numbers, structure, quote text, and documentation records such as artwork and source control drawings.
- Facilitates the creation of Bills of Material (BOM) to ensure manufacturability and market readiness.
- Oversees and manages Engineering Change Requests (ECRs): ensures proper documentation, attaches necessary files, and guarantees timely processing.
- Manages requests for commercializing materials for sale (Sales Action Requests): inputs product master data, verifies information quality, and ensures prompt workflow responses.
- Maintains workflow processes by coordinating information and requirements with relevant operational departments, actively participating in discussions and providing insights to business teams.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with 2-5 years of experience in a professional setting. Familiarity with manufacturing processes is advantageous.
- Demonstrated proficiency in SAP at a transactional level, particularly in Product Life Management (PLM), Materials Management (MM), and Engineering Change Management (ECM).
- A strong understanding of manufacturing and marketing frameworks, or knowledge of the product development process from inception to market.
- Values both independent work and collaborative teamwork.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
- Capability to learn and utilize automation scripts for mass material creation in SAP.
- Advanced computer skills applicable to new project management tools (e.g., SmartSheet).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – Teams, Excel, Word.
