Clinical Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services

The Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Director to lead our Outpatient Behavioral Health team. As a key member of our Clinical department, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of clinical programs, services, and initiatives that support the health and well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Outpatient Behavioral Health team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services to our clients.
- Collaborate with other DESC departments to ensure seamless integration of clinical services with other programs and services.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in clinical care.
- Supervise and mentor senior managers and clinical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our clinical programs.
- Work closely with our Medical department to ensure the provision of high-quality medical services to our clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders to ensure the success of our clinical programs.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in clinical care, regulatory requirements, and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to inform program development and implementation.
- Eligible for a Licensed AAC credential or any other superseding credential that meets RCW 71.05.020 requirements to act as a Mental Health Professional whose scope of practice includes independently conducting mental health assessments and making mental health diagnoses.
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, or other relevant behavioral science.
- Five or more years' experience providing services to chronically homeless adult populations, mental illness, substance abuse, and chronic health conditions.
- Five or more years' supervisory/management experience in social service settings with staff providing direct services to clients.
- Proven experience in planning and managing clinical programs.
- Strong understanding of DEI work and its implementation throughout clinical work.
- Demonstrated ability to drive project-related activities.
- Knowledge of relevant state and local regulatory guidelines.
- Ability to manage and lead practice improvement initiatives.
- Strong organization and time management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to articulate complex concepts.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff from various backgrounds.
- Commitment to key principles of Housing First and harm reduction.
- Previous DESC supervisory experience.
- Program/Project Management experience.
- Previous experience leading, managing, coaching, and developing direct reports.

Compensation details: $137,681.04-$155,770.80 Yearly Salary
