We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Exercise Instructor II to join our team at the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. As a Group Exercise Instructor II, you will be responsible for leading group fitness classes, providing education and support to participants, and promoting a positive and inclusive fitness environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead group fitness classes, including land and water-based programs
  • Develop and implement fitness programs that meet the needs of diverse populations
  • Provide education and support to participants on fitness-related topics, including nutrition, injury prevention, and wellness
  • Collaborate with other wellness department staff to promote a positive and inclusive fitness environment
  • Stay up-to-date on current fitness trends and best practices
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 1 year of experience in teaching group exercise classes
  • Current national group exercise certification from a recognized organization, such as ACE, ACSM, or AFAA
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
