Job Summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and stakeholders, this role is crucial in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Greet and welcome visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing information about the organization's mission, programs, and services.
  • Switchboard Functions: Operate the computerized telephone system, recording and selecting outgoing messages, taking messages, and facilitating communications between staff members.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks, such as photocopying, filing, and data entry, maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
  • Mail and Package Management: Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages, opening and distributing daily mail, and stamping outgoing mail.
  • Backup Support: Provide backup for Support Services Assistants as needed, performing other duties as assigned by the Purchasing and Support Services Coordinator.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: Two (2) years of high-volume front desk experience or computerized telephone system
  • Language: Bilingual Spanish and English
  • License: Valid Texas Driver's License
