Key Responsibilities:- Assist licensed pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies using appropriate techniques.
- Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to ensure accurate dosing.
- Demonstrate and incorporate principles of safety, sterile product processing, and infection control into daily activities.
- Dispense products and record in pharmacy management software to generate delivery documents.
- Ensure that licensed pharmacists on duty properly check all outgoing prescriptions prior to delivery.
- Assist with the selection, packing, and delivery of specialty infusion products and services.
- Communicate with patients, caregivers, and stakeholders to determine health, supply, or delivery matters.
- Confirm delivery based on company protocols.
- Assist with recording and maintaining various pharmacy logs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance practices.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current and in-good-standing state license in the state of employment.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a compounding pharmacy.
- Excellent communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Experience providing customer service and meeting quality standards.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to compound, prepare, and dispense medications/supplies, including clean room maintenance.
- Experience working in an acute or specialty infusion pharmacy.
- Experience working in a hospital pharmacy.
- Experience with advanced sterile compounding, including chemo, TPN, antibiotics, and other complex therapies.
- Experience with CPR+ Pharmacy Management System.
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program certified as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
Required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment; must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
