Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex pharmaceutical processes, utilizing advanced skills and knowledge to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Work in atypical environments, such as hazardous sterile compounding, operating room, automation, remote dispensing, medication history, purchasing, or billing/insurance coordination.
  • Serve as an expert in equipment and technology, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring documents and records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Identify quality improvement opportunities and provide input on operational changes, advancements, and site and system standardization.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to develop and coordinate team member education, training, orientation, and competency.
Requirements
  • Licensure (IL only): Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student; Certification (CPhT) issued by PTCB; State of Wisconsin (registration).
  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in hospital or retail pharmacy technician role, depending on specialty area.
  • Good mathematics skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
