About the Role: As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in the Alcohol & Drug Program (ADP) team, delivering our DUI curriculum designed to empower clients to initiate positive behavioral changes. We offer flexible work arrangements, including on-call, part-time, and full-time positions, with an attractive benefits package available after just one month of employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain current AOD Counselor certification and continuing education units (CEUs) as mandated by Title 9.
  • Conduct client intakes, clarify and explain client agreements, assess client needs, enroll them in suitable programs, establish payment plans, and process payments in accordance with company policies.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, including DL107 and proof of enrollment certificates.
  • Monitor client attendance and issue completion certificates, or notify the courts of non-compliance as required.
  • Facilitate educational groups and conduct face-to-face interviews utilizing ASI assessment tools and Safety Center's curriculum in compliance with Title 9 Programs or Drug Diversion Standards.
  • Provide counseling to individuals seeking assistance with substance abuse issues through DMV or court-mandated programs, and refer clients to additional support or employment services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with court requirements, Title 9, and Safety Center's curriculum.
  • Evaluate client progress to ensure successful program completion.
  • Compile and maintain precise records of business transactions, office activities, and counseling sessions to ensure favorable outcomes during internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid California certification or license: MFT, SUDCC, RADT/CADC, or CATC for AOD counseling.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Proficiency in using internet software, including video conferencing tools.
  • Familiarity with basic office equipment, including internet and email, copiers, fax machines, postage meters, and telephones.
  • Applicants must submit a copy of their current California AOD Counselor Certificate.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, On-Call

Compensation: $27.00 per hour for full-time positions; $25.00 hourly for part-time roles.
