As a Food Service Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience for patients by providing exceptional service and support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Introducing patients to our innovative Room Service and assisting them with menu choices.
- Assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays to ensure timely service.
- Addressing patient requests and dietary needs, ensuring all food deliveries meet their expectations.
- Communicating any food-related concerns to the Culinary Services and Nursing teams.
- Collaborating with Nursing staff to address patient nutrition requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
React promptly and accurately to changes in service requirements to maintain efficiency and adherence to dietary orders. Understand and respect dietary restrictions associated with special diets to ensure patient satisfaction.
Quality Assurance:
Deliver high-quality service, reflected in positive patient satisfaction survey results within assigned units.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Certification:
Food Handler Certification is required.
Education:
A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is necessary.
Skills:
Strong verbal communication and literacy skills are essential. The ability to engage with patients and staff in a professional manner is critical. Basic computer and math skills are required, along with the capability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
