About the Role

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Mission Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Systems Engineering Division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our space systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with customers to identify and mitigate supply chain risks and quality concerns.
  • Work with vendors and industry partners to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Lead technical projects related to the manufacture and certification of critical technologies.
  • Operate strategically to enable the industry to meet future manufacturing requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, mathematics, or related discipline.
  • 8 years of progressively more responsible engineering/scientific experience.
  • Experience working with space programs or acquisition offices.
  • Ability to understand supplier product offerings versus future program needs and gaps.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15%.
  • Current and active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph, issued by the US government.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in engineering, sciences, mathematics, or related discipline.
  • Experience with interfacing with Space Force, NASA, MDA, and/or DLA.
  • Experience with process and product quality assessments and audits.
  • Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors to define supply chain issues or resolve technical issues.
  • Experience with Quality Management standards including ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
