Job Summary

Arcfield is seeking a highly skilled Mission Assurance Systems Engineer Technical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Systems Engineering and Integration team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the entire system lifecycle, from concept to implementation and validation, ensuring alignment with customer needs and standards.
  • Address complex technical problems with innovative solutions, determining and pursuing necessary actions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Design, develop, evaluate, and modify end-to-end systems and products throughout the lifecycle, generating and translating system requirements from customer descriptions, planning, and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with client and government standards through formal verification methods, collaborating with engineering disciplines to develop detailed implementation requirements.
  • Establish and coordinate standards, practices, and procedures for product development, designing interfaces and integrating system elements into a cohesive whole.
  • Assess system performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures, liaising with customers to support business development and shape system requirements.
  • Participate in system conceptual design and document design concepts, conducting design reviews to ensure system applicability and requirement traceability.
  • Create system-level verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures, reviewing test plans and participating in testing processes to validate requirements.
Program Overview

This program provides SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) & SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) services to an important Intelligence Community (IC) customer with a focus on critical, assured space communications and supporting IT infrastructure.

Key Qualifications
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with poly.
  • 8+ years in overhead communications programs (mission and architectures), with experience in most of the above key duties and responsibilities.
  • BS in a technical field (engineering, mathematics, physics).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, knowledge of systems engineering documentation to include concepts of operations, interface control documents, and verification and test.
  • Previous experience with mission assurance programs.
Desired Qualifications
  • MS in a technical field (engineering, mathematics, physics).
  • Experience with modern systems engineering tools for requirements management, including DOORs.
  • Experience using workflow and document management tools like Jira/Confluence/Sharepoint, etc.
  • Experience with RF based satellite communications.
