SENIOR CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER

  • POSITION: Senior Control Systems Engineer
  • LOCATION: On-site in the Greater Houston area
  • SALARY: $85,000 - $125,000 plus benefits

ABOUT US:

We are a dedicated electrical design and product manufacturing firm experiencing significant growth. You will be part of a highly skilled engineering team focused on the design and development of electronic products, including process control and automation systems.

YOUR ROLE:

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will take the lead in designing and drafting intricate electrical, instrumentation, and control systems with minimal oversight. You will be responsible for managing detailed technical construction plans and specifications, covering areas such as Power Distribution, Lighting, Motor Controls, and PLC/RTU controls.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Expertise in Process Control and Control Systems Design
  • Strong background in Electrical Engineering and Systems Engineering
  • Experience in designing industrial control panels
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to coordinate submittals, change orders, project tracking, and documentation
  • Collaboration with documentation teams to ensure all necessary submittal documents are prepared
  • Skill in interpreting plans and technical specifications to create bills of materials and instrumentation lists
  • Reviewing and correcting control panel drawings and bills of materials
  • Participation in project meetings with contractors and clients
  • Maintaining project material and labor costs within budget
  • Understanding of P&ID Drawings and capability to create I/O lists and PLC diagrams
  • Experience in sizing power circuits for motor controls
  • Proficiency in PLC & HMI programming

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Proven ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
