Job Title: Field Sales Representative

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-person interviews with potential participants in their homes.
  • Navigate various types of entrances, including stairs, elevators, and driveways, to reach prospective participants.
  • Travel to selected homes within a designated territory using a company-provided vehicle.
  • Approach statistically-selected homes with or without an appointment to persuade households to participate in Nielsen research.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must be able to travel overnight up to 25% of the time.
  • Enjoy meeting and interacting with diverse types of people.
  • Demonstrate the ability to sell the importance of participating in Nielsen research.
  • Bring relevant work or volunteer experience in customer service, market research, education, or similar fields.
  • Work and manage a non-traditional schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Meet minimum education requirements: High School Diploma or GED, or 2+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • Show proficiency using a tablet and smartphone, including email, spreadsheets, and other computer applications.
  • Have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Consistently meet individual performance metrics.
Physical Demands:
  • Be willing and able to work outside in various weather conditions, year-round.
  • Navigate stairs, elevators, walkways, and driveways to reach participants' homes.
  • Interact with people for several hours in their homes, regardless of location or condition.
Physical Requirements:
  • Travel overnight up to 25% of the time.
  • Drive for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Stand for up to 6 hours per day.
  • Kneel for up to 2 hours per day.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Ability to walk half a mile.
  • Ability to work in all seasons and inclement weather.

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee in this role would be $43,500, adjusted based on geographic location and individual circumstances.
