We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Operations Coordinator to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As an Office Operations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in providing administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical setting.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide general office and clerical support to assigned area, including greeting patients and visitors, checking patients in and out, and obtaining necessary documentation.
- Insurance and Billing: Obtain and verify insurance authorizations/precertification, complete medical record release requests, and schedule/confirms patient appointments.
- Financial Management: Enter, review, and submit charges for patient procedures and services daily, collect co-payments, and reconcile all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
- Additional Preferences: Previous healthcare experience preferred.
