Physician Assistant Studies Professor

Job Summary
The Dominican University of California seeks a highly qualified Assistant/Associate Professor to join its College of Health and Natural Sciences, Master of Science Physician Assistant Studies Program. As a member of the faculty, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and evaluating students, serving as a student advisor, and assisting in curriculum development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum for the didactic and clinical phases of the program.
- Coordinate and teach courses, including developing and delivering lecture and laboratory material content.
- Assess student knowledge and skills through evaluation tools and provide feedback to students.
- Participate in program committees to evaluate and develop curriculum.
- Contribute to the development and achievement of the program's philosophy, goals, and competency-based instructional objectives.
- Participate in scholarly and research activities to professional groups and journals.
- Perform site visits and evaluations of students on clinical rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Current NCCPA certification if PA.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience and 2 years of teaching experience is preferred.
- Experience in teaching Anatomy and Physiology preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team with other program and university faculty and colleagues is essential.
