UCSF Fresno Gastroenterologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team at UCSF Fresno. As a Gastroenterologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical and selected specialty services for outpatients, inpatients, and nursing home patients. You will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods and techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care to veterans in the areas of Gastroenterology in the form of consultative care.
- Perform GI procedures including but not limited to EGD (gastroscopy), stricture dilation, EGD with Peg, colonoscopies, push enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, GI manometry, Bravo study, Hydrogen breath test, advance imaging studies like NBI and chromoendoscopy, other advanced procedure such as EMR.
- Actively participate and lead in research and education/training activities.
- Meet requirements for academic appointment with UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program.
- Involved in the education and training of residents, fellows, medical students, and non-physician clinical trainees, participating in grand rounds, and lectures.
- Medical Degree (MD, DO or equivalent)
- Completed a residency in Internal Medicine
- Completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology
- Board certified or eligible in Gastroenterology
- Eligible to obtain a US medical license
- Possess basic endoscopic skills, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and have a background and interest in clinical research.
