We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team at UCSF Fresno VA Central California Health Care System. As a Gastroenterologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical and selected specialty services for outpatients, inpatients, and nursing home patients.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation services related to GI and liver disease
- Oversee the administration of conscious sedation
- Perform GI procedures including EGD, stricture dilation, EGD with Peg, colonoscopies, push enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, GI manometry, Bravo study, Hydrogen breath test, and advanced imaging studies
- Participate in research and education/training activities
- Meet requirements for academic appointment with UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program
- Medical Degree (MD, DO or equivalent)
- Completed a residency in Internal Medicine
- Completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology
- Board certified or eligible in Gastroenterology
- Eligible to obtain a US medical license
- Possess basic endoscopic skills, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and have a background and interest in clinical research
We offer a competitive salary range of $300,000-$400,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. The selected candidate must meet the qualifications at the time of appointment.
