Treasury Analyst

Position Overview

The Treasury Analyst will be responsible for conducting comprehensive analyses through research, data collection, and interpretation, as well as developing alternatives and recommendations. The role involves presenting findings to management and may include the implementation of selected strategies. Key analyses encompass feasibility studies, cost/benefit evaluations, trend forecasting, financial assessments, budget evaluations, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior management with presentations and analyses related to special projects.
  • Oversee daily cash operations for PacifiCorp and its subsidiaries, ensuring effective cash management. Act as the primary operator of the Treasury department's cash management systems, responsible for establishing and funding the cash positions of all domestic accounts.
  • Reconcile daily activities across bank accounts and prepare accounting entries to update the general ledger for all Corporate Finance transactions.
  • Maintain investment policies and authorization protocols to align with the Company's internal guidelines and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Provide detailed information on cash receipts and disbursements to various departments.
  • Keep accurate records of all investments, commercial paper, and cash transactions, generating monthly reports on transactions and interest accruals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multiple financial institutions to ensure that current and future cash management needs are met and exceed industry standards.
  • Support the Company in meeting its obligations related to public stock and debt, including preparing responses for shareholders.
  • Monitor compliance with various debt agreements and prepare monthly and annual compliance documentation.
  • Offer analysis and recommendations for investment and borrowing decisions as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant finance experience.
  • Proficient in using personal computers, including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation software for data analysis and modeling.
  • Skills in program or policy development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult with internal and external stakeholders on sensitive matters.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals at all organizational levels, including those with diverse backgrounds and styles.
  • Capability to present alternatives and recommendations effectively.
  • Knowledge of data collection, analysis, forecasting, and modeling techniques, as well as applicable Company policies and regulatory requirements.
