Cloud Software Sales Representative

Job Summary
\We are seeking an Enterprise Business Development Specialist to join our team at Canonical. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the cloud, developer, IoT, and AI markets.
\Responsibilities

- Handle inbound customer inquiries and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner\
- Execute outbound sales and marketing campaigns to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base\
- Travel to industry events and conferences to network with potential customers and promote Canonical's products and services\
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product management, to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics\
- Research and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to identify new business opportunities and optimize sales performance\
- Manage and maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales pipeline, and forecast data to ensure informed decision-making\
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry experts, to stay up-to-date on market developments and best practices\
- Contribute to the development of sales enablement materials, including sales playbooks, case studies, and thought leadership articles, to support sales efforts\
- Pursue additional education and training to enhance technical skills and stay current with industry trends and technologies\
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the achievement of business objectives\
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and external partners
Requirements
\To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field\
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field\
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment\
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and external partners\
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify opportunities for growth and improvement\
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for results\
- Familiarity with CRM systems, sales automation tools, and other software applications used in sales and marketing\
- Willingness to travel regularly (up to 30% of the time) and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
