Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will provide direct support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This includes assisting with daily routines, providing emotional support, and advocating for their needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals with daily routines, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
  • Assist with meal preparation and clean-up
  • Transport individuals to and from appointments and activities
  • Monitor and report any changes in an individual's health or behavior
Requirements:
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of hire
  • First Aid/CPR and CPI certification
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a California Driver's License
  • Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
