About the Job

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Summary

The Direct Support Professional will provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This includes assisting with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and advocating for their rights and interests.

Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
  • Assist with meal preparation and clean-up
  • Support individuals with personal care needs, such as toileting and hygiene
  • Assist with transportation to appointments and activities
  • Provide advocacy and support to individuals in their daily lives
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 1 year of experience in caregiving or a related field preferred
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 and Year 2) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
